6-Week Telehealth Supportive Program

What is it?

Nurturing Neurons is a neurocognitive remediation program developed by Grace A. Mucci, PhD, MSCP, ABPdN and UCLA members of The Global Intern Collaborative led by Rachel Snyder, Laura Taglioni, Kristen Laulette and Christine Chang. The program integrates evidenced based techniques and virtual support to provide young students with tools and techniques to enhance their development in a guided nurturing environment.

Why is it important?

According to the National Alliance on Mental Illness, 50% of all mental illnesses can begin as early as age 14. Following symptom onset, there is an average delay of 8-10 years before treatment intervention. Mental health services, education, and prevention are crucial, and will make a monumental difference in the long run. Children should have their mental health knowledge tended to early on so they can be better equipped with wellness skills and other beneficial habits as they enter adolescence + adulthood.
