These activities provide the kids with social interaction and a chance to bond with one another.
Examples: icebreakers, Kahoots, charades, talent shows, etc.
The goal of these exercises is to transition from the social activity into the presentation portion of the session. Mindfulness helps bring awareness to feelings and encourage greater focus + attentiveness.
Examples: breathing, meditation, etc.
The coach will present on various CBT techniques in order to get the students more aware of the interactions between their thoughts, feelings, and behaviors.
This is typically a physical activity; it encourages development of motor skills and refines the children’s ability to follow instructions.
Examples: stretching, yoga, etc.
During this time, the coach will summarize the day’s main points, discuss takeaways, answer questions, give out homework reminders, etc.
